actually my parent's agent is telling them that we haven't sent I-129 which is of 15-20 pages .

we only have I-797 which is 1 page .
what to do ???
their interview is in a week . please let me know ASAP.

Huh? The I-797 is the response CIS sends. It is called "Notice of Action."
The H1 application is on form I-129. When it is approved, you receive an I-797 that says "Notice Type: Approval Notice" and "Class: H1B1." Take that notice to the consulate.

The I-797, I-129 are themselves single page INS docs. But there are other so-called supporting documents that are submitted by the attorney to the INS while filing the H1-B petition. Those include, but not limited to, the following
1. LCA [Labor Condition/Cert approval]
2. Attorney related stuff [Notice of appearance, fax docs, formal letter of request for the H1-B, receipts.... blah blah...]

When you add all these you will a sizable doc set from the company.

Hi!

My I -129 petition for H1B visa has been approved in November. However, my employer has not yet received it. Upon contacting the USCIS, a form !-797 is needed.. Can anyone tell me what an I-797 is? And if possible the probable cause of delay in sending the I-129?

The I-797 is the actual approval notice you received...it says it on top right of the page.
