  • OPT- Visitor's visa to inlaws...

Hi I have questions about visitors visa. I would really appreciate if some one can help me.
I m married and Currently I am working on OPT/F1 at a university. We are planning to invite my inlaws in Sept 09. My visa and my wife's visa are expired in July 2008(almost year back) but we are always in status.
Is it hard to get visa for in-laws cos of our visa expiration?

My OPT ends Dec 2009, but my university will process my H1B which starts after dec 2009.I dont think I can get H1 by the time inlaws attending visa interview. Will this effect getting visa for in laws?

How much bank statement do I need to show?

    THANKS IN ADVANCE

Your visas do not matter, in-laws will apply for their own visas. You can invite them and you may sponsor their expenses. But they have to qualify for the visa on their own by showing legitimate reason to visit US (tourism, meet you guys etc.) and show reasons why they will return to their home country.
This is my opinion and not legal advice.
