Reject - Lack of International travel

Hi

My parents and sister (unmarried doctor), attended a B1/B2 visa interview together at the Consulate in Dubai. They were planning to attend my graduation ceremony in August. THey were asked for financial statements. My university had provided a document stating that I would like ot invite my parents for the convocation on xx/xx/xx and their intended duration of travel is 2 weeks. And I had separately signed an invitation letter stating that I would take care of accommodation.

They asked my sister what she was doing. She said preparing for PG entrance exams. Then they asked where they have travelled in the last 5 yrs. My dad replied Tibet and Nepal. Although they have travelled to Malaysia, singapore, hongkong earlier, the officer wanted to know only in last 5 yrs and hence they replied only Tibet and Nepal (it was a pilgrimage). The visa was then rejected and upon asking the reason he replied lack of international travel.

They have scheduled another interview this month end. Please suggest how they should prepare for this interview? What additional documents should they produce?

I would really appreciate it if someone could help me with this issue? Any suggestions or references which I can use in this regard?

I don't think lack of international travel would be an issue, there got to be one first time travel, right...

I would try sending parents separately for the interview. That way the chances of them getting the visa are better...
I don't really have any suggestions to get visa for your sister... You can try sending tickets (return date confirmed) and of course she needs to show strong reasons to come back to India
