Very Urgent: Visitor visa interview tomorrow- Chennai Consulate

Hello,
Does the visitor need to take 2 sets of photocopy of all the documents they will be carrying for the interview? Will the US Consulate retain some originals, and therefore the visitor needs to have photocopies of all the docs.

Please confirm this. My dependant has interview in chennai consulate. Suddenly somebody known to us said that the visitor needs to photocopy all the docs. We are confused and worried about messing up the collected documents in the last moment.

Thanks for the quick response. We were very confused.

The person who told us about the photographs said that the US Consulate might take any of the original documents, and therefore the visitor need to have the photocopy of all the documents incase US Consulate misplaces/looses the original document and so on...
