Visitor visa refuesd twice at mumbai consulate

My mom ageed 57 yrs had applied for visitor visa on april 3rd. We had put her marital status as separated(terrible mistake) and believe this to be the reason. Second time the agent had put in as married, and her visa was refused again. No questions about change asked.
Does she stand a chance of getting in third attempt? Is there anybody who has received on third attempt?
She is all alone in Mumbai, I am her only child, and desparately needs to visit me. I am waiting for my GC, which will take 1 year, and then citizenship and sponsoring her would take around 8 years which is unbearable.
Are there any alternatives?

I can see visitor visa as the only way for her to come now, from what you have described.

Yes, there are people that have got in third attempt. Probably you (or your mother) can write a letter explaining the mistake about marital status.

Also, if you have father, it would be better if both applied together, even if your father is not going to visit USA.
