visit to canada from usa on visitor visa

Hi,
My dad has a visitor's visa, and is currently visiting me here in the US. We'd like to take a trip to Canada. I am a permanent resident. How do we both get a canadian visa? Please advise

I don't think GC holders need a visa for Canada. For him, he has to apply for one at one of the consulates by post or can appear in person. Most border states have a consulate and it takes 1 day in person 2-3 weeks by mail.
