Restrictions on Group Interview for Tourist Visa

I'm trying to schedule a visa interview for a few of my relatives (3 people)

I'm not able to figure out if I they can schedule a joint interview so all the three can attend together or if I need to schedule separate interviews.

Are there any rules or restrictions for scheduling joint interviews?

HI,

If all of you are from the same group then once you finish filling the DS-156 & DS-157 form, you need to click on, create Family Duplicate. Keep adding till you are done with all the 3 forms.
It will prompt you to select the date for the interview. Select the same and submit the form if you've opted for VFS. Go to the consulate for the interview on the scheduled date.

How do you define "Same Group" ? How do I know if my relatives belong to the same group ?
