URGENT!!!! Sponsoring in-laws,visa extension in process

hi
i want to sponsor for my in-laws. my visa expires by aug09. i have applied for extension and i have the paper telling that my visa extension is in process. can i sponsor for my in-laws showing those paper. pls give me suggestions.
