  • Answer to an imp Q needed ASAP. Please help

My mom appeared for a visitor visa interview for the first time on July 1, 2004 and got rejected. They asked only two Qs - 1) How many children do you have? (2 children, me and my sister) 2) Where do they lvie? (both of us in US) and rejected her application right away. Also she being a widow. A common scenario I guess. She's appearing again for a second time on Sep 28, 2004. Someone in India (my mom's colleague's son) who apparently presumes to know quite a bit abt visa processes has told her that she would in all probability get rejected again if she mentions in all her documents (wherever it is required, like her employment letter, leave letter, my personal letter of invitation to her et al.) that she's going to US for six months and advised us to change it to two months instead. So, here's my questions
    1) Wouldn't mentioning two months still get her only two months visa (that is if she's lucky to get the visa this time around)? So, what do you guys think is the best option? I know there's no fool proof, 100% guaranteed way or answer, but what in your opinion is the better answer?
    2) Is it necessary that all the documents I send her as a sponsor like my passport phocopies, social security number card photocopy should be in color? isn't a regular black and white photocopy good enough?

Thanks for your replies in advance
