Web appointment chaged

I had taken an appointment for my mother on Oct 4th but now the consulate has changed the date to Sept 24th.Is there anyway I could get my previous date?if so what is the procedure?if i check in the tts web page it says 24th sept is marked black(not open for appointment).should i call tts directly to check the validity of change?please help as i have little time left.thanks
