VO retained passport,issued 221g hyd consulate Jun24 2009

Hi i attended Visa interview on June 24,2009 for Visitor Visa.Interviiew went pretty cool and VO got impressed with my responses and he starred at my kid (7 months) and retained our passports and issued 221 saying "your passports will be couriered in next 15 days" and told to track case sheet.Does this mean i got my visa ?

Its been 8 business days.Does 15 days include only biz days?Please clarify.

Please let me know the next step i can do after 15 days.My main problem is passports got retained with VO.

Please any one with the same problem ,reply me.heartily appreciate your response.

Could you please say me what happened to your visa status?? Did you contact the consulate? Anything else that's to be done from our end if we are issued 221g... How long the processing took with your case?

Your answer could definitely help thousands like me... Mine was also the same case as yours. Passport is with them now... And I am desparately waiting to hear something back from them... It has already been 2 weeks now.

my case is still pending , its been 4 weeks by now . actually we can call the consulate after 12weeks as mentioned in the221g form till then we need to wait..........
when did u gave ur VI n where?

Hii..

I had my interview on 7th of July 2009... at Hyderabad consulate for F1... I sent the docs they asked for on the very next day itself... My reporting date at the school is nearing and I am waiting to hear back from them...

Please let us know about your visa status as it goes...

my daughter (7 months ) got her visa today n my case is still pending........
so it took around a month to clear up...........
i should get her pp thru courier tomorrow n i'll let u know abt the visa status then.........

as far as i know, the cases of F1 its taking around 20-25 days to clear.......... n ur VISA approval is for sure.

actually i called the consulate people here in hyd today to check my ppt status n they said our case was processed on 22nd itself , my ppt was delayed at the printing section so i'll b getting it in 2-3 biz. days

Satish, Could you please give me the Hyd US consulate number???... Actually I wanted to let them know about a change in address and I am not sure how I can contact them...

Thanks... Called them and they said me that it's still under processing... Informed them about the address change and they asked me to mail them... Only god knows when I will get it...

May I know which list you are mentioning about? Is that the one pdf that you will get from the consulate site? I guess that one is fo pink slips... If you are saying about something else then please let me know...
