  • Invitation based on medical ground.

I am permanent resident of US arrived on 09/26/2006 (i.e 2 yrs 9 months) with my wife and 2 Sons. I have here my dad (US CITIZEN) and 2 sisters ( One sister is married here in US) and residing with him. Recently 1 month before i am diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma Cancer at stage IV.

My parents In Law wants to visit USA just to see me during my Illness and intend to go back in 1 month. My parents In-law are about age of 64 & 65 completed. They intend to apply for Non-Immigrant visa (Visitor Visa).

    My question is,

    1. Is it right to give reason to the consulate officer about my sickness to get the Visa? or simply give reason for Visiting US and to stay and see around US?

    2. My wife and myself are not working since last june-2009 and has recently applied for Social security disability after diagnosed with Cancer. I am carrying bank balance of about $22000 as of date with additional worth of $ 13000. Does it require additional sponsor?

I appreciate your guidence in my case.
