Hi,
Am planning to bring my dependent mother with me to US and starting to initiate the process, advice what are the steps involved and how much duration it may take at every step.
I have gone thru the site and forum and have understood following:
1. I need to send my visa / petition / passport scanned copies
2. I need to send few invitations, got format etc
3. Need to send Bank (Sponor letter) from my bank - advice normal time taken by Bank of america for this
4. My mother to fill up few docs like ds156 etc
Anything else? I want to know from scrap when I start how much time will it take? can I bring her here by Sept end if i start the process now? Chennai counslate is the nearest one for us(FYI).
