My husband is sponsoring my parent's visitor visa. Is a photocopy of our marriage certificate sufficient or is an original required?

Is my parent's birth certificate required?

I came across the following:

If you are sponsoring your spouse's relatives (such as in-laws), photocopies of all pages (including blank pages) of your spouse's passport and your marriage certificate[15].

So is this photocopy of marriage certificate or original?
