Need help: Mother Visa rejected at Hyd Cons on July30.
Hi,
I need help on reapplying for Visitor Visa at Hyd for my mother.
Here is the situation on her first visit to Hyd consulate:
She appeared for visa interview on July30 10:00am at Hyd consulate.
We prepared the following documents.
Set I). Application set
1. Passport original
2. Interview appointment letter
3. DS156
4. DS157
5. Visa Fee receipt
6. VFS fee receipt
Set II) Sponser Set
1. Letter 2 Conulate
2. Invitation letter to my mother
3. Employment letter from my employer
4. I-134
5. Bank Verification letters
6. Bank Statements
7. My Salary statements recent
8. Copy of last 3 years W2 forms
9. Copy of last 4 years tax returns (for 2008 year I had applied for extenstion , that is the reason I gave 4 years )
10. Copy of my marriage certificate
11. Copy of green Card
12. my birth certificate (original)
13. Copy of my passport
14. Copy of my wifes employment letter, her salary slips, and passport copy.
Set III). Documents prepared by my mother
1. Affidavit (notarised on stamp paper)
2. Property valuation certificate (on CA letter head)
3. Family photoes
4. Property documents (original)
5. Trip itinerary
6. Extra photos
I dont know this order exactly matches with Immihelp or not.
But we used this order for my mother in law visa sponsored by my wife. And she got her visa. and she is in USA leaving this week.
Now we want our mother to be here with us the rest of the year.
We have gone through the immihelp forums for the questions and my mother is prepared well enough to answer them.
Visa Officer (is a lady) asked my mother the following questions.
1. Where is your son stay?
She answered in America. She was interrupted while telling the full address.
2. How many children do you have?
She said 4. One daughter and three sons.
3. Where are the other sons stay?
Shae said, they stay with me.
4. What properties do you have?
She said a home in hyderabad and a land in banglore.
Then the visa officer said her visa is rejected.
My mother asked that if she could know the reason for the rejection.
The translator mentioned that she will get a paper with the reason in it.
Here is the current family status:
My father passed away 2 years back. I have two unmarried brothers who are in to 25+years and stay with my mom. I have a sister who is married with a kid of 8 years old and stays with her husband.
My mother dont have any intention of staying in USA as she is the only elder person in the home to arrange for my brothers marriages.
Now we want to apply for the visa again:
We already paid the visa fee again.
We haven't taken the appointment yet. But looks telugu visa are available for the dates of Aug20. That is the time we want to take another appointment.
Is it ok to take 2nd appointment so soon ?
How do I prove the Visa Officer of her intention of return?
I need your suggestions on reapplying the visa.
