Temporary Resident Visa into Canada

My father is in the US on visitors visa (B2). I hold a US green card. We want to travel to Canada purely for tourism. I intend to apply for temp resident visa for my father.

I need help in filling the application form:
1) Form asks for funds available for stay in Canada. My father does not have any funds in US since I am supporting him in the US. What should we write here?
2) Length of stay in Canada - We do not know the exact dates. Can we say, for example, from Aug 30th to Dec 31st although we might visit Canada for only 10 days during that period.
3) Immigration status of applicant in country where applying? Is this going to be my father status in US which is tourist.

You don't need visa for yourself to visit Canada as greencard holder.

Visitor Visa Extension if visit canada

my mother-in-law visitors visa is expiring in Sept end. She holds 10 year multiple entry visa. We want to extend her visa.

Question is if she visit canada and on her re-entry to USA (by air) will she get new I-94 with another 6 months?

Last month she traveled to canada and on her re-entry to USA (by road)...no new I-94 was issued. If she fly to canada this time...will she get new I-94?

Also. my Dad last year visited canada and got new I-94...did this rule changed?

1. When I attach documents for my financial status, how will the authorities know that I am supporting him in US.
2. The application form asks for dates of visa requested from dd/mm/yy to dd/mm/yy. There is no field to enter number of days. I have not planned for the exact dates of vacations. It could be between end-of-August to end-of Dec.
