Income tax documents

Hi,
what is need of income tax documents & is it ok to submit income tax document for year 2001 ,2002
do we have to submit 2003 also,as i am not having the income mentioned in my employment letter.Will this effect in visa process.

This is to prove that you have stable income in US and can support relatives while they are in US.

i have only sent 2003 tax papers to my parents who plan to visit in June. is that enough or do i have to send others? can you please clarify?

Can you send just a copy of first page of the tax paper for last 3 yrs?

I was told just a copy of last years tax paper is ok. So I have sent them just a copy of last year. If they do not have a copy of 2002 and 2001 then the chances are my moms visa might get rejected?

Send Tax returns & W-2 forms for the last 3 years

I have seen people getting rejected for not having tax returns and w-2 forms for the last 3 years. Even my parents' visas were refused for not having w-2 forms(3 yr) though they had my tax returns(3 yr)

Nothing wrong in sending more documents but there is always a chance of getting refused for not providing documents when asked for.

I agree with milli. What is the problem in sending last 3 years tax returns?

For a moment, assume that only last 1 year is required. Then also, what is the harm in carrying last 3 years?

Always have more documents than get rejected for lack of documents.
