  • VIsitor visa rejected - advice?

My mother appeared for visa interview and VO (Mumbai) rejected the visa. She is widowed. None of the documents of her assets wer looked into. In fact no documents were looked into. just a few Qs. How many children? (2) where your daughter live (bhopal MP) do you live alone (yes) and then it was rejected. She is 64 yrs of age and I am on H1 extension. What should be done to show more documents of house / bank / pension. Nothing new can be created. She has strong ties with hometown but no chance to explain. Is taking interview in Hindi is a disadvantage? But there is no choise for her. Should I reapply?

    Hi Nishant,

In most of the visa interviews, the Consul Officers do not ask directly the ties the visa applicant has in their home country.

It should be the visa applicant's duty to clarify about this.

Trust me, prima facie, your mother does not seem to have lot of ties. But even similar applicants got visas.

You need to train your mom about the visa interview. Send your mom for visa interview after few months.

    Good luck next time.
