Hello all,
Firstly, thanks to this excellent website and forum.
My aged widowed mother is going to be attending a visitor visa interview at Chennai consulate next month. I want to inform her about the procedure on the interview day at the consulate so that she will be prepared.
Could someone let me know:
1) What documents do they check at the consulate gates?
2) What documents do they take at the front desk?
3) If we had an additional document that we wanted the consular officer to definitely see, do we try to give it to the front desk?
4) Do they give you a token?
5) Is your number called out over an intercom?
6) Do you sit or stand before the glass window in front of the officer?
7) Is the conversation always through the phone?
Anything else about the sequence of events?
Thank you
