Hi,
My father's visa got rejected twice. His first interview was in Feb 2009. We think that they rejected his visa because his 2 kids are in US. He went for his second interview during 2nd week of Aug 2009 (My brother sponsored his visa). The following are the questions
1. What is your occupation?
Advocate
2. What is your annual income?
Rs.xxxxxxx
3. What is your son's legal status?
H1B
4. Where is your wife? Is she is US or India?
India - (My mother has her B2 visa for 10 yrs. She has visited US 2 times and returned within the legal 6 months duration)
5. Can I have your wife's passport number?
While my father was looking for her passport copy..he was asked to wait..
6. My father was called for the passport #. He has my mom's original passport with him. The officer said "good" and took it inside along with my dad's passport. He was again asked to wait for 10 mins.
7. He was called ...and the officer said your visa is rejected and they gave hin 214(b) slip.
We have no idea why his visa got rejected. They did not ask for any supporting documents.
1. How long should he wait to appear again for his visa interview?
2. Is it a good idea to appear again during 1st or 2nd week of Oct 09?
3. Is it good idea to volunterly show his affidavit document to prove that he will be back?
4. Is there cases where the officer rejected visa more than thrice? If so, Please share any experience?
5. Is there any limitation for visa rejection?
Any advice/suggestions would be very helpful and highly appreciated.
Thanks!
