Hi,
My mom asked me to sponsor my grandmother for a visitors visa. Well I live in a different state and my grandmother is going to stay with my mom. Does that matter? My mom is her daughter-in-law. That's why my mom asked me to do it, since I'm the closest blood relative.
I don't mind doing it, but I don't know if the state department will accept sponsorship from someone who the person will not be residing with.
Should both me and my mother fill out the I-134 and appropriate letters?
I'm also active-duty military, so my official/legal address is that of my mother's (the location my grandmother will be staying).
Thanks in advance.
