Visa for marriage purpose

Dear all,

I have a question regarding US Visa for marriage purpose, I want to tell you that someone in my relation had applied for the US visa to attend the marriage of her Nephew, She is 49yrs Old. She was sponsored by Her Nephew. She had all the relevant docs but I don’t know why Her Visa was rejected at NEW DELHI US EMBASSY.

My Question is that Is there any rule in US VISA rules that they don’t grant VISA for MERRIAGE PURPOSE. Because VO asked to my aunt about the purpose of the visit, my aunt said that she wants to go to her Nephew Wedding, But VO Refused the VISA straight away without even asking for another question. VO said that Marriage is not a Solid reason to obtain an US VISA, Even though my aunt also wants to visit good places of USA & she has sufficient amount of funds in her A/c.

So, kindly advise me because My aunt wants to apply for the Visa again. and Should she go with the same reason or tell them that tourism is also there?

Tourism and to attend marriage would have been a better answer. But she needs to prove ties to home country to get a visitor visa.

I would like to tell you that

VO asked the purpose of visit to My Aunt &

My Aunt said Marriage, She also wanted to visit good places of USA. But couldnt tell the VO.

Then VO Said of Newphew's?

Aunt said Yes!

Vo asked what you do?

Aunt said Housewife.

VO: What is your Husband do?

Aunt: A property dealer

VO: Marrigare is not a good reason to obtain the VIsa, and asked my Aunt to pick up her passport Before My aunt could say anything.

Unfortunately, On that day they were not granting Visa for Marrige purposes.

So, kindly advise me because My aunt wants to apply for the Visa again & meet Sister in law & family, But now marriage date is 19th sep. and Should she go with tourism Now?

Her Two son & husband is In India.
