My mom came here on June 10th, 2009 and got stamped December 9th, 2009 on I94. The purpose of the trip was tourism and we have already finished 60% of what we were supposed to do. Now, winter is approaching and she is not able to move around that much. So, what I'd like to do is to send her back early let's say mid October and then bring her back mid April so that we can start again. Now, my question is how IO is going to know that she left early and has stayed in home country for 6 months or in other words "is sending her back to home country early going to help when she returns later on in April?" Thanks. Madhu

Question about returning on visitor VISA

General rule of thumb is for the person to spend double the time spent in the US in the home country at the minimum.
The IO can easily pull Arrival-Departure records from the I-94 that will be returned at the airport, entry stamp from the country that the person lands in to prove that they left the US etc.
