visa for my widowed mother

I am applying for my moms visa for her visit .We r planning to get her here by oct.I have 2 younger sisters who r to be married.and we have properties which r to be managed by my mom.
I am a little disscouraged by seeing the no.. of rejections for widows.I really want to get her here and show her around.plse help regarding how to convince the counselor at the appt.

Don't lose courage

Unmarried children (especially daughters) living with parents are "perceived" to be strong social ties which will force the parents to return to India (whether the parent is a widow or not).

You also say your mother has strong financial ties. I think your mother should be okay.

You should be okay I think. Since you have not one but two unmarried sister in India, your mother is in a better position to get the visa. My mom was overwhelmed with the process at the consulate. Just prepare your mom and give her an idea of what to expect, for ex, glass windows and answers through phone, quick questions etc. Also, ask her to answer more than what they ask. Good luck!
