In-Laws visiting - Without sponsership

Hi All,

My in-laws are planning to join us to help with my wife's delivery. Even though they hold Indian passport, they are currently in Qatar, my Father in law is working there. So they will be going to the US Embassy in Qatar.

Now my question is do they really require my sponsorship? Can't they apply for a tourist visa and say they they will be bearing all expenses of their travel expenses? Is that OK? In that case, do I need to send any documents from my side? Since I am not sponsoring their trip, I don't need to send I-134 and supporting documents right?

Can someone tell me all the docs they need to carry if they are sponsoring their trip themselves?

They can sponsor it themselves.

Just send the proof of your wife's legal status in the US, and optionally, an invitation letter.
