  • Documents to sponsors B2 visa

    Hi,

I live in Chicago, USA on H1-B Visa.

I am going to sponsor my parents to visit me in a couple of months. I am preparing all the documents they would need for the interview. Can I scan those documents and email them or fax them? Or do I have to mail all those documents to them? Please let me know.

    Thanks for your help.

Just for your information for future help with other applicants, I contacted the Consulate directly and they said I can fax the documents to my parents

You can do whatever you like. However, whether they would consider the documents valid or not, and whether scanned documents would be of any help in getting the visa is a different matter. And that is what is important. Therefore, it is best to send the original documents by mail.
