How often can visitors to the US come the country?

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing because I would like for my in-laws to be able to come visit us after my baby's delivery date in early January of 2010. My in-laws were in the US this year for approximately six months and left to go back to India at the end of June 2009. They have 10 year visiting visas for the US; however, I want to make sure that there are no limitations on such a visa - please confirm that they should not have any problem coming to the US for another visit early next year. Thank you.

There is no law regarding exactly how long they can stay in the US.

However, as a tourist, they are not supposed to stay here all the time. It is possible that such persons are given a shorter duration stay at the airport or are returned back.
