Hi,
I am preparing for my parents tourist visa from India to USA. I understand that as their sponsor, I have to show my latest paystubs and other financial documents. I am pregnant and have been out sick for 2 and half months now, will finally be joining work again this Friday.
From what I read in the tips, it is best not to voluntarily disclose about the pregnancy unless asked. But if I show my recent paystubs, they show short term disability on them. Will this be a problem in the visa interview?
Will this portray that I am disabled at present and therefore not a good sponsor? Or will it open up a can of worms with questions like "why is she on disability? Is she pregnant?'
Do you think I should work for 2 months and then ask my parents to apply for a visa so the paystubs then do not show any disability? But this would delay the whole process, I am afraid my parents may not make it by the delivery date in such a case.
