  • Medical letter required?

Can a visa be denied for any medical conditions that the visa officer suspects at the time of the interview? Do we need to show a "fitness" certificate from a doctor at the time of the visa interview if the interviewee is not feeling well?

No. What kind of illness are you talking about? What kind of medical certificate can prove a person can work?

No it's not for work, but for fitness to travel - is there any such requirement? If the person comes across weak at the time of interview, is that ground for refusal of visa as "not fit to travel" or something like that? Just trying to figure out if there are grounds for visa refusal based on health as against other more typical reasons (like ties to homeland etc)

If the person is deemed to be a public ward with no health insurance and would use government resources, a visa can be refused.
