Visitor Visa initiation when my L1 Visa expires in a month

Hi,

I am on L1 Blanket (Under Company's Blanket) Visa and it is getting expired on 02 Jan 2010.
My I94 expiry date is on 02-Nov-2010.

I would like to bring my parents in Visitor Visa from India to USA by Mar 2010.
I have applied for their Passports and it is in progress. I am expecting to get it by Nov 2009 monthend.

1. Is it advisable to apply for the Visitor Visa in Dec 2009 when my Visa is expiring just in a month? I will be sending the sponsor documents supporting their visitor visa

2. If they get the Visa, will that be valid atleast till Dec 2010?

3. There are chances that the passports for my parents can get delayed and reach only after my Visa expiry date (Jan 2 2010).
In this case, How can i initiate the Visitor Visa for my parents?

My company is ready to file for L1 B extension only on the date when it is 6 months to the I 94 expiry date. will be (May 2 2010).
Will UCSIS return/reject my L1 B extension if i file in Nov or Dec 2009 ?

Visa is just an entry document. As long as your petition and status in US are legal, it is fine to sponsor.

Validity of visa is upto the VO and is decided during the interview. No one can predict.

Your visa validity has got nothing to do with the validity of the visitor's visa.

I am on my company's blanket petition and in I 797 form - I see the term called "Petition is valid indefinitely" in the section Amended Approval notice section.

But in the USA Visa stamp, I see the PED date as 02JAN2010.
(I 94 expirty date - 02NOV2010)

Is that possible to be a sponser for my parents if i initiate their Visitor after
02JAN2010 ?

If not,
My company is ready to file for L1 B extension only on the date when it is 6 months to the I 94 expiry date. will be (May 2 2010).

If my L1 B extension gets approved, will i be eligible to be the sponser for my parents?
