  • Need help in gathering Visitor VISA docs

Hello everybody I am very new to this forum. I need your precious advice and suggestions based on your past experience in gathering the required documents for my Parent's Visitor Visa.

Currently I am in USA on H1B Visa and I am planing to sponsor my parents to vist me.

My question is, I am lacking in 2 out of 12 required supporting docs.

    1) I don't have a Copy of a few recent income tax returns or last few W2 forms, because its not been a yr I got the job.

    2) and my original birth certificate with new name. (I have original birth certificate but with old name, last yr I split my given name into First, middle and last on my new passport in USA not in india but I have all the evidence in here and in india too)

    A) Is thr will be any problem if my parents go to the interview without tax returns or last few W2 forms? If not what would be the best reason to say in the interview?

    B) What should I do about the birth certificate?

    C) I have two passports now one with old name and one with new. Do I have to show the copies of both the passports?
(Old passport has the student Visa on it but it is no more valid. I have H1 and I-94 with new name)

    D) father name in my passport is also not matching with my parents passport! Coz my father too recently changed his name.
if the officer notice, what should we say?

Any suggestions and answers will be appreciate. Thanx

    1. Not as long as you have the money to sponsor and they can support their ties to home country.

    2. Some other form of relationship proof would be useful.

I am not a lawyer and you need to consult with one to validate any info posted on the forum and discuss your case specifics. H1b Question? Read the FAQ first.
