Rexently Applied for H1B

Hi,

I am as a visitor in US, but recently i meet a guy that owns a company, (IT Field), and they like me to be part of their team, and they just applied for H1B visa, for me. i am on valid I94, (expires in march 2010).

My question is:

It is possible to get approval now, or i heard that, it will not be possible to get answer before appril 1, of 2010.

It can be approved now as the yearly quota is not full yet.
