Which consulate to go for interview? - Experts Reply

Hi,
I am on H1 visa holder and plan to call my parents to US for a visit.

1. My parents lives with my brother in Pune since past 2 years.
2. They recently got their passport (1 month back) and the address on their passport is Pune's address.
3. Ideally they should be taking appointment at Mumbai consulate but last week they moved to Bangalore to my sister's house.

Can they take appointment at Chennai Consulate or they need to go to Mumbai? Do consulate check what address they should be going to and if wrong they reject? or they dont care about the address?

Note: Their passport was done only 1 month back with Pune's address.

It might be a good idea to call up both consulates and check.
But to the best of my knowledge if they have lived in B'lore for less than 6 months they need to go to the consulate closer to their earlier address - which in this case would be Bombay.
