Hi all,

My mother is coming here in US on Visitor Visa in the first week of July.Ijust have a general question that much American Currency can she take with her when she leaves from India.Is there a limit for Visitor or no?

Banks/travel agents should be able to tell you the max amount of currency you can travel with. This has changed recently.

You might want to limit it to < US $ 10,000 as I think
there are limits that you can carry into the US as well.

Reserve bank of India allows to purchase $5,000 per year for going abroad.

There is no limit how much US currency you can bring into United States. However, you have to declare it in customs form if it is more than $10,000.
