Hi
My parents went for the interview at mumbai consulate on 26th Oct.
My Father is Asst General Manager in a Nationalized bank and mother is Housewife.
I have one sister who is married in India.I and my wife are in US. I am on L1 from TCS and
my wife on L2.
The following are the questions asked by the VO to them
1) Where do u want to go?
ZZZ
2) Why do u want to go to US?
Tourism
3)How many children u have?
A son and daughter
4) Who will sponsor the trip?
My Son
5) What do u do?
ZZZ. With 34 years of service there
6) When do u intend to arrive in US?
ZZZ
7) Which all countries have u visited in the last 10 years?
Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka
8) Have to ever been to US?
No
9) Which company does ur son work for?
ZZZ
10) How long has been your son in US?
Since 1 year 4 months
My parents gave the perfect answers to all the questions
Only questions number 3 was asked to my mother.
The VO asked question number 8 twice to my father.
He said that the visa of my mother was approved.
Then the VO consulted somebody else and asked my Father to fill up a form .
The VO said that they were willing to issue a visa to my father but his case
had to go through admin processing.
My father filled the form(white in colour),The form had his details, his educations,work, my details etc and
handed it over to the VO.
The VO then handed him a yellow colour letter saying his case was pending under 221G, and an envelope.
He was told to submit the letter along with his passport at the Ahmedabad VFS office after further communication
from the Consulate.They did not say how and when the communication would come.
Has anybody faced the same situaition?
I searched for 221g and came to know it is for several reasons.
Can anyone pls shed some light?
How and when will the embassey contact us?
