Passport expires in end November 2004

MY Passport expires end of November 21, can I still send my passport and documents for my in-laws for sponsoring their visitor visa in August.
Or, do I have to renew the passport and the new and old passport.
How long should the passport be valid to sponsor a visitors visa. Does anybody know anything about this?

There is no such rule or requirement for sponsor's passport validity.
