  • Question about sponsoring for visitor's visa

My H1-B visa, stamped in the passport, recently expired. I do have the appropriate papers for an extension until 2012. Is it advisable, in the current status, to sponsor for a visitors visa for my mother in law?

Visa is your entry document. Your status is what matters.

      Question about Visa interview

One more question. I will be going for an interview along with my wife for re-stamping our respective visas in march at the chennai embassy. I would like to scehdule our mother in law's interview along with ours. However, since my mother in law cannot speak english, we would have to sign her up for an interview in Tamil.

When you go in a group is it possible to setup interview for different people in different languages or should we all sign up for interview in Tamil. It is advisable, for me as a H1-B holder, to sign up in a non-english language?

She will be called for a separate interview and will have to take a separate appointment for her in the language of your choice.

H1/H4/B1-2 visa interview will not be together.
