What is the validity for visitor Visa

Dear Immihelp ,

I have applied for a visitor visa and have my interview in June , but I want to come in the month of September, and want to stay in USA for 3 months .. So When the visa is issued , is there a start and end date for the visa issued ? Please Help ! I would appreciate an early response . Thanks in advance !

What is the validity for visitor Visa

Hi ,

Can you PLEASE give me more clarification regarding my visa validity,

I have my visa appointment on June 16 th , and want to visit USA in September .

1.) So If I get a 6 month Visa ,Will my visa validity be Start date from June 16 th and expiry date be December 16 th ?
2.) Is there a RULE that I should travel to USA within 90 days of Visa start date ?

I would appreciate an early response,

1. Visa stamp is used only for entry into US. Actual stay is determined at the port of entry(airport), as per date that gets stamped in I-94.

2. No such rule.
