Working Parent

Hi,

I am planning invite my parents on visitor visa. My father is a retired Airforce Officer. but currently he is working in a private firm. He has got 6 months leave sanctioned without pay to visit US.

My question is should I mention him as working or just retired in the application?
which has a better chance to get visa?
