Birth certi in regional language.

My birth certi is quite old and written in regional language. Do I need to get it translated in English before my parents use it during their stamping interview or certificate in regional language will work?

Not necessary if that regional language is widely spoken in the area where the consulate is located.

e.g. in Mumbai - Gujarati, Hindi, Marathi
in Delhi - Hindi, Punjabi
in Chennai - Tamil, Telugu etc.
