Hi,
I am planning to bring my in laws . However, there is a problem with their names in the passport. Their last and first names are interchanged, ie ,Surname is appearing as first name and first name is given as surname . My wife's passport and her birth certificate has their names in correct order .
My father in law's name is Rajendran and his initials (surname) is M S
In Passport, his first name is appearing as the expansion of M S and last name is
Rajendran.
In my wife's passport it is Rajendran followed by expansion of M S.
However, in all other docs that my in law has in his name eg pancard, voters id etc his name is MS Rajendran, with initials appearing first, making the whole scenario complex to say the least.
I would really appreciate if someone could advise here.
would it be prudent to change the first and last name in passport? Since all his other docs have name with his initials appearing first would it be a problem during the visa interview? Thanks in advance
