both drop box and personal appt?

hi Immihelp,
my parents are eliglible for drop box application. Is it possible to fix an personal appoinment at the same time as drop box application in case the drop box fails? this will save time and i can cancel the personal appointment if drop box is approved. TTs didnot answer my query. thank you for the reply.
