original or copy?

I am applying thro drop box for my parents. Do i need to send my original birth certificate or a copy would be enogh? this is for chennai consulate. thank you.

thank you immihelp. it is indeed a copy. I had asked the same question to chennai consulate and they replied copy of indian passport or copy of any other document.
