I'm American and met my girlfriend on a business trip to Canada. She came and visited me twice and didn't get a stamp. The last time she came to visit for a longer time and brought her bicycle through customs and the customs agent gave her a B2 stamp and said she could stay for 6 months. He said she couldn't just go back to Canada and come back and get another six months. She is an artist, her friend moved to NYC from Canada and got what she calls an "artist visa" that cost him $3000. I can't find any information about such a visa.
She has 3 months left on the B2. I make enough money to support her. What are the options so she can stay on a more permanent basis?
