  • If both son and daughter are in usa ?

This was posted in Experiences section. Moved here.
    ==========================================

    Hi,
My in-laws are going for visa in few days.
    I have following questions

    1) my father-in-law is private doctor working in
private hospital. My father-in-law not coming
to usa but he is going for visa which one is
    better chance of getting visa
    1) If both go to visa ?
    2) only mother-in-law goes to visa ?

    2) My in-laws both son and daughter are in USA. If they ask about son, do they have to say son is also in USA ? which is the better answer for this question ?

Does anybody have same situation ?

    pls..e-mail responses to [email protected]

    Thanks in Advance

    Visitor visa

Me and my brother stay in the usa and my parents got thier visa yesterday.

U have to mention in the visa applciation that both son and daughter in USa. This does not deny them visa, just the sponsorers info is required. Make sure the one who is sponsoring sends all the required docs. All the best.

        hi swethvenkat

first of all congrats, would like to know whether ur parents applied through drop box??? which consulate is this??? if called for an interview, what were the questions???

We both siblings stay in USA and would like to invite our parents, they are qualified for drop box so would like to know whether to send all the documents through blue dart or just the one mentioned in this site...cause i have heard that they throw away the unwanted documents, and what if they are called for an interview we need to show another same set of documents?

Do my parents have to send documents in different envelope through blue dart or just one would do???

        Please reply back.

          Visitor visa

My parents applied through chennai consulate. My dad is 60 and my mom is 55, but both appeared for interview and my MOM was interviewd and not my dad, though he was standing besides her.

The questions asked were, where does your son live ( state and city), he works as what and where and why would u return to India and how long do u want to stay? To the question as to how long u want to stay, should not be more than 3 months, once u get the visa, u can get the I 94 for 6 months stating that son and daughter in us , hence want to spend time with them.

My brother sent all the documents, he is the sponosrer ( though we are planning to divide the exp). I had sent mine and my hubbys documents ( we are GC applicats, hence our ead and ap copies were also sent)

The consulate asked for my brothers documents . They did not ask for my documents at all and did not ask any question abt the daughter at all. The interviwer just asked a couple of times whether they wanted to stay for 6 months or 3 months, but my parents told stubbornly that they wanted only 3 months.

My parents carried three seprate folders, one with thier documents showing thier pension book etc, one with my brothers stuff and one with mine.

And when u specify in the visa application as to who will sponser for the tickets, my parents had mentioned as SELF.

I hope this wud help. Let me know if u need any other info.
