Parent visa

My mom's visa expires on March'09. I just want to confirm that even if her visa expires, she can continue to stay for the duration of her I-94 legally here right? ed if she get her i-94 till sept she can continue to stay till taht time evn though her visa has expired right?
can information is appreciated.
