  • Is a Transit Visa needed to travel through Italy to the US?

Does anyone know if visitors to the US, traveling through Italy would need a transit visa?
Apparently, any travelers through the UK to the US, irrespective of the fact that they would only be switching airplanes, need a transit visa.
I was wondering if there is any such requirement for traveling with Al Italia (of course, through Italy!)

    Thx,
    J

I have not heard of any such requirements.

Regarding UK, it is NOT always required. If you have valid US visa stamp in your passport that has NOT expired, you do NOT need transit visa. This is confirmed.

      Thanks immihelp .
I talked to the Italian Consulate in Boston, and the lady I talked to told me that Indian citizens, with a valid US Visa, using the international airport only to switch planes do not need an ATV (Airport Transit Visa)
