Do I need to be employed to sponser !?

Hi,

I am taking a break from my work and would like to sponser my parents for their US trip.

I have my GC and a good enough bank record.

1. Is my employment letter a must to sponser !?
2. Do I need to attach a letter saying that I am taking a break... ( is it necessary ) ..!?

Would really appreciate your views and comments.

As long as you have enough money to support them while they are here, it is not mandatory to have employment letter.

Employment letter just helps prove that you are continously earning money to support your family.
