unexpired b1b2 visa

can an unexpired b1b2 u.s. visa become expired the time i apply for a new u.s. visa?
will denial of newly applied b1 visa make the old unexpired b1b2 visa not usable anymore?
your advise is greatly appreciated

If you already have B1/B2 visa, why do you want to apply for B1 visa again?
