  • Inviting Brother in Law for US Visit for my Son's Graduatiom

Me and My wife want to invite her brother and his family for visit to US.
We are inviting them for the Graduation of Our son.

    We both are permanent resident.

    I am planing to send
    (1) Invitation Letter from both of us
    (2) Letter from my son's School about his Graduation
    (3) Copies of our Green cards and passports

    Regarding other docuements

    (4) I might also send our bank statements

Do I need to send Sponsorhip Affidevit? ?

If I send it I want to mention specifically in the Affidevit that" We will provide for their boarding, lodging, food and travel within US. We will not be providing help for travel to US or for any medical expense witin US."
Is it OK to mention in Sponsorship affidevit like that?

Can you also suggest any other docuements that we can send to help them get visitor visa?

I need to know about what I can write to avoid any possible medical expenses or liability for medical expenses by writing proper thing in I-134.

I just want to be responsible for their travel and lodging and boarding within USA.

You can write whatever you want.

However, in that case, the consular officer is free to make whatever decision they want to make based on that kind of language.

You are responsible for whatever you write in I-134.

If no one else is responsible for other things, that would be looked at the time of interview.

Why don't you consider buying visitors insurance? Available at https://www.insubuy.com

They are young so dont need insurance

              Thanks

I can not buy insurance it will be costly for me. they will not need treatment unless in case of accident. and most of visitor insurances are useless.

i dont want to be responsible for accidental medical expenses, they will not need treatment in small time period as they are young.

i would like to give sponsorship for US domestic travel, lodging and boarding in US.

Let me know what I should write so that I am not responsible for medical exp but at the same time my I-134 help them to show financial resources in US.

If you can not take care of their expenses one way or another, you should not be sponsoring them because that sponsorship would be weak.

Please note insurance is not for sick people, not for those who already need treatment. Visitors insurance plans are meant to cover any new medical condition, injuries or accidents that may occur after the effective date of the policy.

You made a statement that they are young and therefore they don't need insurance. However, you said that they may need treatment in case of an accident and you said that you don't want to be responsible for that medical expense. That means, they may get injured in an accident and it is a fact. That is exactly why you buy visitors insurance.

It does not make any sense to make a general comment that visitors insurance are useless. That is cetainly not the case. Many people misunderstand what visitors insurance (or any short term medical insurance) is and what it is meant for. You wrote that 'they don't need insurance because they are young and they don't need treatment'. That implies that visitors insurance should be purchased by those already need treatment or expecting it. Obviously, no insurance company can work like that.

You said that you can't buy insurance because it will be costly for you. Well, costly is a very relative term. Visitors insurance are short term insurance plans and are very affordable. Do you realize the cost of medical treatment in this country? I am sure you do because you said you don't want to be responsible for it. Well, in order to cover the high healthcare costs, even if the insurance companies have to charge high premiums, that is very well justified.

Well, in case they get sick or injured while visiting the US, someone has to be able to cover that cost. Either you agree that you will pay for it, or the visitor shows that they will be able to pay for it or you buy visitors insurance to pay for it (of course, according to terms and conditions of the policy and not everything). If no one takes the responsibility, that may make the visa application weak.

Therefore, I recommend that you visit our web site https://www.insubuy.com and familiarize yourself with visitors insurance plans. We have a number of good articles to help you on that.

I will never buy visitors insuance for short visits

I understand you want people to buy visitors insurance.

But I had seen so many first hand experiences on several immigration discusssion forums that tells that they were never helpful for medical expenses when needed.

most of them dont cover you for anything for very long time from the date it starts. most of visitors dont stay more than 3-6 months. Pre existing conditon exclusions are mostly longer than that. And you can count anything in pre-existing condition.

In fact I have bought insurnace from your site for non-immigrants.

How can you have first hand experience from the immigration discussion forum?

You can't make general comments like that without knowing the full details of each case. There are too many factors that go into it.

I have been in this business long enough and had enough experiences from all sorts of customers. People have called us to buy the insurance on their way to emergency room, people have bought insurance from the Wi-Fi of the hospital waiting room and they expect insurance companies to cover that.

Your are contradiciting yourself consistently. On one side, you say you don't need visitors insurance for short visits, but on other side, you say your short-time visitors may run into an accident and you don't want to take any responsibility. Where is the question of pre-existing conditions in case of accidents (unless you are buying the insurance after you are already in an accident)?

All of your allegations are baseless and therefore I deny all of them.

Without any specific points, I believe that we are going to pointless and too generic discussion.

It is entirely up to you whether you want to buy visitors insurance or not. No one is forcing you to do that. I was just trying to guide and not trying to convince in any way to buy. We are a reputable company and we don't need to deceive anyone in order to convince them to buy one policy. We get a very good amount of business doing this the right away and guiding the people correctly.
                    Thanks & Regards
